Who are Vorboss:
Vorboss is building London’s next-generation business fibre network. This is a responsibility that we take seriously; we understand that for most businesses, reliable fibre internet is as important as heat, electricity, and water. We want to completely change the fibre network in London (and beyond), and we’re on the hunt for smart, talented people to join us.
At Vorboss, we do the right thing—no matter what. Our unwavering focus on engineering excellence and unrivalled commitment to customer service is trusted by the most important organisations across the UK and Europe in the technology, pharmaceutical, financial, and e-commerce industries.
We’re proud to have earned one of the best reputations in the industry, and it is essential to us that we maintain that reputation as we grow. Our team is tight knit and highly talented. We trust each other to do the right thing, take responsibility, and be a champion for our collective success.
We’re looking for talented, smart people to join us as we embark on this exciting period of growth. Our vision for Vorboss is to be ‘the best job that someone ever had’, regardless of how long they stay with us, and promise to provide a supportive workplace based on respect and trust.
Role overview:
Vorboss has built the most advanced fibre network in London, purpose-built to support the future of commercial real estate. Through our recent acquisitions of Optimity and 40Fi, and a major investment in our in-house network management platform, Layer8, we've combined fibre infrastructure, managed IT services, and network management to create a market-leading capability under one roof. You’ll be joining a newly formed team focused on transforming how landlords and asset managers interact with digital infrastructure. This team is central to our future growth and will play a key role in scaling our reach across the commercial real estate market. We’re looking for a confident, commercially savvy Business Development Manager to lead engagement with our target Landlord customers and prospects. You’ll be responsible for generating and closing net new business opportunities and pitching our Building Connect products into new developments, refurbishments, and retrofit projects. You’ll play a key part in securing long-term building activations and positioning Vorboss as the preferred technology partner for landlords across London.
Key responsibilities:
(Please note that this list is not exhaustive)
- Self-generate and close managed service opportunities with mid-tier and Large institutional landlords
- Pitch our ‘Building Connect’ products into new developments, refurbishments, and retrofit projects across London
- Use your existing relationships to open doors and secure meetings with top-tier landlords, driving awareness of our expanded capability
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of Activated Building opportunities
- Manage full end-to-end sales cycles from discovery through to handover and post-sale growth
- Expand upon existing customer relationships to drive adoption of services outside of internet connectivity, positioning Vorboss as the preferred MSP for buildings/portfolios
Key activities:
- Proactively contact landlords from your target list to book and conduct discovery meetings
- Leverage your existing network to secure meetings with both mid-tier and top 20 landlords
- Deliver confident, tailored pitches of Vorboss’ capabilities to landlords and their representatives
- Manage all aspects of the building activation process, from technical discovery to commercial close
- Managing buildings post activation, actively selling Vorboss services into new and existing tenants
- Continue to promote Building Connect as a core product for new build and upgrade projects
- Identify and influence wider decision-making stakeholders to support multi-building growth opportunities
The right candidate:
- Proven experience in commercial real estate or built environment technology sales
- Strong understanding of landlord drivers and the London property ecosystem
- Track record of managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable balancing outbound activity with relationship-building across multiple accounts
- Commercially driven, highly proactive, and confident presenting to senior audiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions
